After returning home to Aitutaki to lead Araura primary School as Principal, Junior Pauka saw an opportunity to extend his service to the wider community.

Motivated by a desire to create positive change at an island-wide level, he was officially appointed Executive Officer of the Aitutaki Island Government in January 2025.

With a background in education and a reputation as a capable troubleshooter, EO Pauka brings a proactive, people-focused leadership style. He is committed to building the capacity of his team and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of government.
